Foundation Crack Repair
There are a few ways to repair a foundation crack. In this post we will break down how our waterproofing team performs foundation crack repairs by injection. If you are a homeowneryou have most likely dealt with a vertical foundation crack in your basement or crawlspace. Vertical cracks in most cases do not affect the structural integrity of your wall. The issue they pose is allowing water into your basement. Below are the steps that we take to inject a foundation crack and waterproof your basement or crawlspace.
1. Thoroughly clean the crack of any dust, debris or previous patchwork.
2. Install injection ports every few inches along the entire foundation crack.
3. Apply a two-part epoxy coating.
4. After the epoxy coating dries we inject the crack with a urethane grout.
Once the injection material gets behind the coating, it is forced into the void of the crack up against the dirt on the outside. This injection, once fully cured will keep water from entering the crack. All of our foundation crack repairs by injection are covered by our lifetime transferrable warranty.
